Related to my work with Advancement Services at various institutions, this page offers a number of references, surveys, tools, tricks, and other useful pieces of information that I have gleaned from clients, conferences, and colleagues.

bulletSurvey Page - All surveys and inventories of Advancement Services information have been moved to this separate site which allows summarization and searching on-line. We did a quick survey on duplicate records in January 2003. We are working on next one updating prior surveys on staffing & salaries for June 2003.

bulletGift and Acknowledgment Guidelines and Links to IRS Publications. I've tried to capture some of the guidelines and links often asked about by clients and on FundSvcs.
bulletIdeas & Concepts - Commentaries, white papers, presentations, etc. on trends and thoughts in Advancement Services. Some of these are mine; others from colleagues in our field. bulletAFP - Donor Bill of Rights This is an important document that CASE, AFP, AHP, and other fund-raising associations developed. Their members should be familiar with these guidelines.
bulletCode of Ethical Online Philanthropic Practices offered by the ePhilanthropyFoundation.org As on-line giving proliferates, this statement becomes more important.
