Web Sites for Fundraising, Advancement Services and Related Organizations
CASE : Page for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education with information about CASE, job classifieds, legislative alerts, CASE services. I saw many of you at the CASE Senior Advancement Services Conference in San Diego in March 2002 and others at the Summer Institute in Advancement Service in Nashville, TN (at Vanderbilt Univ.) in July 2002. Good conferences thanks to John Ley in San Diego and Vickie Medlock in Nashville along with their great faculties.
Educause :Association for Managing and Using Information Resources in Higher Education. Many excellent references & resources for systems in higher ed at this site. Look for policies, procedures, systems plans, and just plain good thinking. Educause was the result of the merger of CAUSE and Educom in 1998.
CAE : Council for Aid to Education - the national organization dedicated both to enhancing the effectiveness of corporate and other private-sector support in improving education at all levels and to helping education institutions more effectively acquire private support for their programs. The site describes their services with ordering information for their surveys and supports on-line entry to the VSE survey. There is also online access to the VSE Data Miner (CAE's Web based system to access the last 10 years of VSE survey data).
AFP: Association of Fundraising Professionals (prior to 1/1/01 it was the National Society of Fund Raising Executives or NSFRE) - A professional association that advances philanthropy through education, training and advocacy.
AHP : Association for Healthcare Philanthropy - A not-for-profit organization established to strengthen the performance of professionals who advance philanthropy and manage resource development programs for the hospitals and health care organizations in North America.
Philadelphia & Delaware Valley Organizations A separate page of links for Philly and Delaware Valley resources.
Project Management Institute : (This is certainly not a fund-raising organization but is quite relevant to Advancement Services.) PMI is the leading nonprofit professional association in the area of Project Management. PMI establishes project management standards, provides seminars, educational programs and professional certification that more and more organizations desire for their project leaders.
These sites and others have a wealth of links to other Fund-Raising sites. This was
merely intended as a starting point for you.

Lists for Advancement and Fundraising Information
A ListServ is a shared mailing list for discussions about concepts, techniques, and issues of common interest. There are a number of these lists that have been around for a while and provide very useful information (and personal networking) to their participants. Following is a list of some of the ones that I am familiar with. At the bottom of this section are links to sites where you can see more and sign up:
As these listservs and forums change owners and locations periodically, I have chosen to provide you with links to sites that maintain the sign-up instructions. The forums above may all be found and subscribed to through the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Click HERE for the CASE forums.
There are other lists available through the "Charity Channel." Click HERE to look at and/or subscribe to the Charity Channel forums.
